Neurodiversity strategies that propel inclusivity
and engagement, unlock access to innovative talent, and drive the bottom line.
one size fits all… fits nobody
As educations, we design sessions to appeal to our learners, to drive participation, and cause a behavior change. Without taking neurodiversity into consideration, however, we’ve created a one-size-fits-all solution that truly fits no one at all.
As an expert in both neurodiversity and corporate education, Jessica will use her experience as a late-in-life diagnosed neurodivergent with Autism and ADHD, as well as her passion for facilitation and instructional design to transform your Talent Development to be neuro-inclusive for all learners.
After the session your Talent Development Team will be able to:
- Understand how neurodivergence shows up in the corporate training environment
- Identify why addressing neurodiversity in learning is critical to overall Talent Development success
- Understand how to make content and other team activities neurodiversity friendly
- Overcome their own biased picture of what an “engaged learner” looks like
The Neurodiverse Workplace
By sharing her experiences as a late-in-life diagnosed neurodivergent with Autism and ADHD, Jessica will deliver an inspiring session to your employees that will motivate them to drive inclusion through no-cost actions easily added to their daily conversations.
After the session, your employees will be able to:
- Understand what neurodiversity is and what it means to each employee
- Apply a neurodiversity mindset to understand differences in communication and information processing among their employees and colleagues
- Adopt a no-cost neurodiverse approach to their day-to-day workflow that increases engagement, psychological safety, and retention of all employees
Neurodiversity? Is that even important for your company?
Neurodiverse candidates represent an untapped applicant pool that can transform your business. Up to 85% of neurodiverse individuals are unemployed or underemployed.
Through transforming your recruiting and hiring process to support neurodiversity, you will open your company up to employees that will drive innovation, inspire creativity, and increase productivity through complex problem solving and simplification of process.
Neurodiversity is a hot topic in Diversity and Inclusion. What is neurodiversity? Why is it critical to the success of your business?
By sharing her experiences as a late-in-life diagnosed neurodivergent with Autism and ADHD, Jessica will deliver an inspiring session to your employees that will motivate them to drive inclusion through no-cost actions easily added to their daily conversations.
Who’s Jessica Michaels?
Jessica Michaels spent 20 years of her career hearing the same thing: “You’re meeting all your goals, but you’re still failing because you can’t get along with people.” For years, she had no idea how this could be true. Still, she worked through her challenges and became a recognized facilitator, speaker, and corporate trainer.
Finally, at age 40, she received a diagnosis that explained those early struggles – Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
She now uses her lived experience as a neurodiverse professional to coach others that have challenges in the workplace or in a job search, as well as provides consulting and training to businesses across the US.
